About Alejandra
Since taking office, I have approached every decision with preparation, transparency, and accountability. My role is not only to vote, but to listen, ask difficult questions, weigh competing interests, and make choices that serve the long-term needs of our community.
I am an El Paso native, wife and mother, and I currently serve as Mayor Pro Tem and District 1 Representative. Before public office, I spent more than 20 years as a small business owner in El Paso, which shaped my understanding of local economic development and the needs of working families. I bring that experience into my work in city government, focused on practical solutions and responsible leadership.
How I Lead
Leadership begins with listening. It requires preparation, a commitment to understanding the facts, and the discipline to make thoughtful decisions even when they are difficult. It also means welcoming accountability, staying consistent, and showing up for the community.
Leadership is ultimately measured by results. My work reflects a steady focus on earning trust through action, not promises.
